Herefordshire: The future working together

leave a comment »

A meeting with Herefordshire care providers has proved a good launch pad for more proactive work from the association in the area.

Organised by the association’s solicitors, Harrison Clarke Rickerbys, a talk was delivered by Deb Holland of the CQC who praised the high level of care in the region and that’s always great to hear.

Any nugget of good news is so welcome.

Deb also spoke of the new consultation process and challenges facing CQC (there are certainly plenty) and the industry in the future.

Councillor Nick Nenadich from the Herefordshire local authority also spoke regarding budget and the fees for adult social care.

All agreed that we need to work together to tackle the unique issues which affect providers in Herefordshire and establish contact points for all bodies so that policies and future initiatives can be easily accessed.

This is positive dialogue and working together has to be the way ahead for social care funding, compliance and delivery.

More meetings are due to be rolled out and in November a safeguarding event outlining how providers should respond is planned.
